This guide walks you through building a fully working AI agent from scratch โ step by step, timed, with nothing skipped. Follow along and you'll be live in under 5 minutes.
Step 1 โ Create your account (30 seconds)
Go to chatforge.pro, click Get Started, and sign up with your email. No credit card required. You'll land on your dashboard immediately after confirming your email.
Step 2 โ Create a new agent (30 seconds)
Click "+ Create New Agent". Fill in three fields:
- Agent name โ internal label, e.g. "Acme Support Bot"
- Display name โ what visitors see in chat, e.g. "Alex from Acme"
- Welcome message โ e.g. "Hi! Ask me anything about our services."
Select a tone preset (Friendly & Professional works for most businesses). Click Save.
Step 3 โ Add your website (1 minute)
In the Knowledge Base tab, click "Add Website". Paste your full domain URL (e.g. https://yourbusiness.com) and click Scrape.
Wait 30โ60 seconds while ChatForge reads your website. You'll see a list of pages that were imported. Check that your key pages (services, pricing, FAQs) are included.
Step 4 โ Run a quick test (1 minute)
Click "Test Agent". Ask your agent 5 questions a real customer might ask:
- What do you offer?
- How much does it cost?
- How do I get in touch?
- How long does it take?
- Do you offer refunds?
Note any weak or missing answers โ you can fix these after going live, but it's worth catching the obvious ones now.
Step 5 โ Get your embed code and go live (1 minute)
Click "Get Widget Code". Copy the snippet and paste it into your website before the closing </body> tag.
On WordPress: use the Insert Headers and Footers plugin โ paste into the Footer section โ Save.
Visit your website in a new browser tab. You should see your chat bubble in the corner. Click it and send a message. If it responds โ you're live. ๐
