Cold Outreach Scripts (DM & Email)

📱 Instagram / Facebook DM Hi [name] — love what you're doing with [business]. Quick question — are you getting many enquiries via your website? I help [niche] businesses get more bookings using AI. Happy to show you a quick demo? Type a message... 📧 Cold Email To: sarah@bloomsalon.co.uk Subject: Quick question about Bloom Salon Hi Sarah, I noticed your salon's website doesn't have a way to answer customer questions after hours. I built a tool that does this automatically — I made a demo for a salon just like yours. Mind if I share it? Takes 2 minutes to look at. [Your name]

Cold outreach is the fastest way to get your first clients — and the most systematically teachable. The key is brevity, curiosity, and specificity. This guide gives you proven scripts for Instagram DMs, Facebook, and email that you can use today.

The 4 golden rules of cold outreach

  1. Keep it short — nobody reads a long cold message. 3–5 sentences maximum.
  2. Make it specific — reference their actual business name. Generic messages get ignored.
  3. Lead with curiosity, not a pitch — ask a question first. It's less threatening and gets more replies.
  4. Have one clear ask — "Can I show you a demo?" not "Would you like to buy my service?"

Instagram DM scripts

Opening message (curiosity hook):

Hi [name] — love what you're doing at [Business Name]! Quick question —
do you get a lot of customer enquiries through your website or DMs?

Follow-up (if they reply yes):

Nice! I actually help [niche] businesses handle those automatically using an AI assistant —
it answers questions 24/7 and books appointments without you having to be available.
I built a demo for a [niche] business that I can show you in 2 minutes. Interested?

Cold pitch (if you skip straight to it):

Hey [name] — I build AI assistants for [niche] businesses that answer customer
questions and take bookings 24/7. Built a demo for a business just like yours —
happy to share it if you're curious?

Cold email scripts

Subject lines that get opened:

  • "Quick question about [Business Name]"
  • "Saw your [salon/restaurant/clinic] — had an idea"
  • "This might help [Business Name] get more bookings"

Email body:

Hi [First Name],

I was looking at [Business Name]'s website and noticed you don't have a way for
customers to get instant answers outside of business hours.

I build AI assistants for [niche] businesses that handle this automatically —
answering questions about prices, availability, and bookings, 24/7,
without you having to be available.

I built a demo for a [niche] just like yours. Would it be useful to take a 2-minute look?

The follow-up is where deals happen Most replies come on the 2nd or 3rd follow-up, not the first message. Follow up after 3 days with: "Just wanted to bump this up in case it got buried — happy to share the demo if useful?" One follow-up doubles your response rate.

Outreach volume targets

To get one paying client: typically reach out to 20–40 businesses, get 3–8 conversations, close 1–2 deals. This means you need consistency:

  • Daily target: 5–10 new outreach messages
  • Weekly target: 30–50 outreach messages, 2–5 follow-ups
  • Expected result: 1–2 conversations per week, 1 new client every 2–3 weeks
